I was bored the other night, so I decided to take the 3d model I made of Gumby ages ago, and render it at much better quality. I replaced all the materials in the scene, and used a hdri not only for the ultra-funky reflections, but also for the global skylight. I included a solid white wall befind the model, and you can really see the subtle variations in the lighting from the hdri lighting both on the model and the background.
I rendered the image in 2 layers in Brazil r/s, the first pass featuring everything but the reflections took 22m40s to render, and the reflection only pass took 9m4s.
