wow, those towers looks amazing. It looks completely transparent from here (almost)... somehow :D

Yeah, thats because the long exposure intensifies the reflections in the glass windows of the buildings, which sort of makes it blend in with the lights in the background.

Wow dude this is intense!! I think it would be better to see some space above the top of the tower.. Also.. if you had time, maybe try HDR? It looks kind of like you did that with this image.

A took several shots of this scene, some including some space above the tower. I think this angle seems to work better, it just makes it look somehow more intruiging with the very peak of the tower in obscurity. Also, with the camera facing slightly lower, you can see more of the funky colour of the lights on the street below.

Wow, fantastic shot. I tried to do a shot like this in Chicago, but I forgot my stand so holding it still was nearly impossible.

This is a 30 second exposure. No way to get this effect without a good tripod. ;)

yeah... I completely forgot mine.. I had to try setting it on tables, railings, or anywhere else i could get it.. I dont think my camera goes up to 30 seconds though.. 15 is all I got I think.

I carried my super massive heavy manfrotto tripod all over Melbourne on this particular day. I suppose I had nothing better to do.

LOL!!! I have one just for travel :) My good one stays at home, or goes on short trips. The travel one is nice for flights and such because I take it on the plane with me, and it's not a bother to carry around cities and villages.

I took a stupid amount of stuff on the plane last time. I had my Camera and the shoulder bag for it, the laptop bag, AND the tripod on the plane as hand luggage! I didn't think you were allowed to carry that much crap on the plane, BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG. :|

LOL, sometimes they will ask you to check-it at baggage if the overheads are full. Happens a lot.
